Option 4: Change Firewall Settings:

  • From the Windows Start button, search and launch Control Panel.
  • Search the Windows Firewall and hit enter.
  • Click on the “Allow an app” option, available through the Windows Firewall option.
  • Hit the Change Settings and put a tick on the box under the Public list for the QuickBooks application.
  • Hit on OK 
  • Select Public for the application QuickBooks.

Option 5:  Add Server to Host File

  •  The location of the host file is (C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\).
  • Open Notepad as Admin.

  • Type CMD in the Run window.
  • Then, type “ping_[your server name]” and hit Enter. Type server name without the presence of any brackets.
